This morning, I woke up to find that my little blog--a project that I started while I was pregnant to help me sort out my ever complicated thoughts, a project I didn't even think anyone would ever read--has hit 100,000 views. 100,000! I know that there are highly successful blogs out there that get that much in a week, but--for me--this is amazing. Thank you so much to all of you who read my ramblings and participate in these conversations. Keeping this blog brings me perspective, analysis, and friends, and I couldn't do it without you!
Very cool! This is my first time checking out your blog...I saw a comment you wrote about parenting on another blog (also my first time checking out parenting blogs) and thought you were spot-on with your characterization of my parenting style. I read a series of books when I was pregnant called "Babywise" and actually highlighted sections and marked it with sticky notes. That regimen went right out the window the moment I became a mom. With my limited knowledge of the tenets of each style, they certainly don't seem mutally exclusive and seem more like they should go hand in hand. Again, congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jamie. Thanks for checking out the blog! I did a lot of reading about parenting styles while I was pregnant, too. I'm glad I did--I think it helped me feel more prepared if not actually BE more prepared. Like you, almost all of those plans went out the window when faced with an actual baby, though!
