I'm 25 and...I totally empathize with this post. I'm 25 and I'm currently on my 7th??? car. Each has taught me very unique lessons.

The Geo (oh how I miss it) taught me that a paint scratch can totally be worse than it looks when it's hood decided to hurtle through the air into my windshield while I was driving on the highway.

The Saturn (green) taught me the value of always always always having your cell phone with you. Because the one time you don't will be the time you get into an accident.

The Saturn (red) taught me that engines are finicky things. And they hate me.

The Kia taught me that I was REALLY good at making bad jokes with tow truck drivers.

The Aveo it taught me the most important lesson- it's okay to hate your car when it tries to kill you. Repeatedly. Between the no airbags, oil leaks, and finally the hole it put in the radiator that thing taught me the humility of dealing with it all.

I can't wait to see what my new car teaches me. We've known each other only a month so I'm sure there are some lessons to come (aside from the "TomTom smokes things." lesson that is)Kassandranoreply@blogger.com
