I embarked on 10 months of a distance relationship with someone I never "met", then I flew to Japan to spend a month with him (again, not having seen each other in the flesh - the fear I had at his seeing me physically and rejecting my appearance was immense). It turned out beautifully, and I never actually saw it as a risk because I knew him, but I'd think it was pretty brave/stupid if anyone else had said they were going to do what I did.Orchid64noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827968588643415787.post-76336432051959974892013-01-12T13:12:52.398-06:002013-01-12T13:12:52.398-06:00I'll try this out... I think that the things I've been bravest facing wouldn't seem all that brave from the outside looking in because my fears aren't always placed in obvious ways.BalancingJanenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827968588643415787.post-63147914805342179632013-01-11T19:48:58.880-06:002013-01-11T19:48:58.880-06:00I've never been to Europe, let alone by myself...I've never been to Europe, let alone by myself! I did them all around the same time, so that's why I consider them "one thing." I dropped out of law school, started my pilates training AND got into therapy around the same time (and I had to FIGHT to get into therapy)--so I took the first steps to completely change my life. I'm very proud of myself for doing so!Amandanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827968588643415787.post-41519676786245487712013-01-11T15:45:46.226-06:002013-01-11T15:45:46.226-06:00Testing this for you - I think the bravest thing I...Testing this for you - I think the bravest thing I've done was...dang. I know I've been brave but only because I had to move ahead despite my fear, not because I did anything truly daring. Bravery, like beauty, is difficult to define.<br />Kelly O'SullivanKM OSullivannoreply@blogger.com
